30^th LS telcom Spectrum Summit

Spectrum as a Strategic Asset – Defense, Security and Critical Infrastructure

As a premier industry event, our Spectrum Summit brings together experts and decision-makers for focused discussions on spectrum management, wireless networks, and emerging technologies. It offers valuable insights into key trends and fosters the exchange of ideas on the challenges and opportunities shaping spectrum as a strategic asset.

As a complimentary digital event, it gives you seamless access to high-level discussions and leading expertise – wherever you are.

Christian Badia, CEO of Five-Star Strategy and Defence, will deliver the opening keynote on why spectrum management matters for nations and modern armed forces: “Importance of Spectrum Management for Nations and Their Modern Armed Forces in Order to Maintain the Advantage.”

Further contributors include Cristina Data, CEO of Joint Radio Ltd; Peter Clemons, President of Quixoticity-EU; and Peter Op de Beek from the European Defence Agency. They will be joined by Laura Sear, News Editor at PolicyTracker, and Jaime Afonso, Spectrum Expert at the European Communications Office (ECO) in Copenhagen.

Together, we will explore what it takes to secure spectrum access, strengthen resilient communications and balance national security with innovation. Discover the sessions and speaker profiles on our website, with further updates to follow.

We are excited to welcome you to the 30^th Spectrum Summit, taking place digitally on Tuesday, October 6^th, 2026, at 10:00 CEST.

„Non-Terrestrial Networks & Terrestrial Integration – Technology, Regulation, and Market Perspectives“

Direct-to-device (D2D) is quickly emerging as the industry’s new buzzword, promising a new era of mass-market satellite connectivity. With the potential to connect billions of devices – from smartphones to IoT devices and vehicles – D2D could close connectivity gaps and drive significant growth for both satellite and mobile operators. But will it live up to this promise and make the digital divide a thing of the past by 2030? Or will technical, commercial, and regulatory challenges stand in the way?

Participation in the digital event is free of charge.

Explore the future non-terrestrial networks, device-to-device integration, and the critical interplay of spectrum, regulatory frameworks, and terrestrial components.

Expert Perspectives on the Results of the WRC-23 (Workshop | Online)

Firma LS telcom Workshop 15. Februar 2024ITU, National Frequency Plans, Radio Regulations, Satellite Communication, Spectrum Management, workshop, World Radiocommunication Conference 2023, WRC-23

Join us as we unpack the results of the recent World Radio Conference held in Dubai! With the conference dust settling, this one-day session provides a promising opportunity to digest the agreed resolutions and outcomes in a clear and practical manner.

Our online workshop will capture the essence of crucial agreements and the heightened intensity of discussions, revealing hot topics and contentious agenda items from the four week conference which took place in November/December 2023. This includes subjects like AI 1.2, addressing IMT spectrum identification across diverse bands, including the upper 6 GHz, and AI 1.5, which explored regulatory actions in the UHF band in Region 1.

We’ll also deal with the agenda item 10 outcome, which is the agenda of WRC-27. In this course, we’ll also consider any newly proposed urgent issues that may have been raised but not necessarily addressed during the conference, such as the emerging topic of satellite direct-to-handset communication.

These agenda items, among many others, will be examined to understand the implications for regulators adopting the newly agreed-upon regulations. We’ll explore the practicalities and challenges of incorporating these regulations into national frequency plans, wider strategic developments, and the introduction of new technologies and services.

After successfully registering for the workshop via our website, we will send you further details via email.

Don’t miss this opportunity to gain expert insights and stay at the forefront of your field. We look forward to welcoming you to this online workshop!
